You will stay in the monumental Scheepvaarthuis, built in 1913 by shipping
companies from Amsterdam, where four centuries ago the first Dutch ships
left to the Indies and America. You will visit the Museum Harbor and the Eastern part of the city where the old harbor is still very much visible.
Day 1
• A maritime present in your room or suite
• Three course day menu in our restaurant (excluding drinks)
• Overnight stay in a superior deluxe room (including city tax)
Day 2
• Luxurious Full American breakfast buffet
• Walk to and over the Eastern Islands, where you could find a renowned
harbor in the past (17th - 20th century). You will pass the Museum
Harbor and the old warehouses. Within a five minute walking distance
from the hotel.
• During the walk visit to VOC Ship “The Amsterdam”
• End the day with a drink in VOC Café Schreierstoren
199,00 euro per person (approx. $280 p.p.)
Access to the Wellness Centre and use of the mini bar and WiFi are
complimentary. You are free to take the walk on day 1. If you want to
plan the walk on day 2, you can get your luggage after the visit to the
VOC Cafe at the Grand Hotel Amrâth Amsterdam.
